Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in an analytical role (e.g., management consulting, investment banking, business intelligence, data science, corporate strategy and operations).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree, MBA, or advanced degree in a business or quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies.
  • Experience leveraging AI workflows or automation frameworks to streamline analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in YouTube Music or the media industry.

About the job

Product Strategy and Operations helps Google’s products and businesses grow and succeed. You will lead critical initiatives, usually spanning multiple teams and functions, to identify new opportunities or refactor barriers to growth, and then find solutions to address and implement them.

In this role, you’ll be embedded within YouTube’s Music and Podcasts products. This includes music and podcast content on both the main YouTube app and the YouTube Music app. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day business cadence, overseeing and communicating business performance, and driving faster, better decisions that responsibly and sustainably grow our business. You’ll also be a close business partner to our teams of data scientists, combining your insight and judgment with their deep analytical knowledge.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $150000 - $217000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Understand product health across YouTube’s music and podcast experiences, and proactively raise trends and opportunities to improve to executive leadership.
  • Automate core workflows for product health, leveraging AI tools.
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional partners to improve our understanding of user activity across YouTube, YouTube Music, and YouTube Premium, and identify opportunities to grow Music and Podcast consumption.
  • Define the key drivers of Podcast Watch Time, and identify opportunities to increase Podcast engagement on YouTube.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to various cross functional partners for setting organizational priorities, coordinating launches and plans with other functions, and shaping the overall product outlook.
