Software Engineer III, Full Stack

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 2 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
  • Experience in designing and implementing distributed software systems.
  • Knowledge in design and development of API or Microservices.
  • Knowledge in Flutter development.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate core components of Google Pay's card tokenization platform, including the token provisioning journey, card lifecycle management, and the transaction processing engine.
  • Build features end-to-end, which includes understanding Flutter for user-interfacing surfaces (device experience), and backend systems (Server Platform, Spanner) for secure token routing and payments state management.
  • Work with PM, TPM, Analytics, network partners (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), and other Engineering teams to build tokenized card features from the ground up.
