Vice President, Strategic Alliances

Minimum qualifications:

  • 20 years of professional experience in business development, partnerships, supply chain management, or technical ecosystem leadership.
  • Experience managing executive-level relationships and negotiating technical or hardware agreements with global technology suppliers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field.
  • 20 years of professional experience in technology, including leading large-scale global partnerships or supplier alliances.
  • Experience in the silicon, hardware infrastructure, cloud computing, or semiconductor industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and work effectively in highly complex, matrixed, and ambiguous environments.
  • Superb communication and cross-functional influencing skills, with a track record of driving cross-product area initiatives.

About the job

As the VP of Strategic Alliances for Google Cloud, you will establish and lead deep, multi-dimensional partnerships and alliances with our most critical global hardware, system, and silicon suppliers. In an industry built on long-lasting, meaningful relationships, you will be the key executive representing Google Cloud to drive strategic alignment, secure vital supply chains, and unlock co-innovation opportunities.

In this role, you will navigate a matrixed global ecosystem, aligning our strategic technical needs with industry leaders across silicon, system square sets, and advanced manufacturing. You will translate executive-level relationship building into actionable industry insights, additional supply, and first-of-their-kind strategic partnerships. Working closely with engineering, product, and business leaders, you will drive cross-functional alignment and ensure Google Cloud’s long-term competitive advantage in the AI-native future.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $550,000 (USD) + 80% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall strategy, development, and execution of multi-dimensional alliances with key global hardware, silicon, and system partners to support Google Cloud's AI and technical infrastructure.
  • Cultivate and maintain trusted, executive-level relationships with CXOs and senior leaders at partner companies to secure critical supply, gain industry insights, and drive mutual strategic value.
  • Negotiate and structure complex, first-of-their-kind commercial and technical partnership agreements, ensuring Google's interests and brands are represented.
  • Collaborate across a highly complex Google matrix, aligning technical, financial, and operational strategies with internal engineering, product areas, and business units to ensure smooth launches.
  • Build, inspire, and manage a high-performing global team of partnership professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and strategic talent development.
