About the job

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

As a Technical Program Manager, Experience Design and Delivery in METS, you will lead the execution of brand experience installations, modular demo platforms, and facility modernization projects across Google Experience Centers (GECs) and briefing hubs. You will oversee the delivery lifecycle for assigned spaces and content coordinating creative agency production, vendor fabrication schedules, software/hardware testing protocols, and financial tracking. You will orchestrate many simultaneous capital improvement projects from initial concept through design, engineering integration, vendor procurement, commissioning, and operational handover across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

In addition to your responsibilities delivering individual projects and programs, you will scale your impact by developing processes, tooling, workflows, third-party services, and industry partnerships that enable our team to amplify our impact, reduce cost, and improve speed of delivery.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
