Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in statistical problem solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).
- 6 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or impact strategy with a focus on implementation.
- Knowledge of key philanthropic areas (e.g., KSL, Scientific Progress, or Stronger Communities) and Google.org partnership.
- Exceptional presence and ability to craft persuasive, client-ready narratives that influence senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Passion for philanthropy blended with strategic ability to evaluate Theory of Change models and societal outcomes.
- Skills in data analysis, synthesis, and hypothesis-driven methods to translate research into actionable strategies.

The Google.org Tech for Social Impact (TSI) team helps nonprofits and civic entities achieve sustained social impact at scale by providing data infrastructure, visualization tools, and technology. Our team serves as the central hub for Google.org’s data, unifying global giving information into a source of truth to help leadership track and maximize the organization’s philanthropic impact.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $148000 - $214000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic thought partner to Google.org pillar leadership, balancing intellectual theory with implementability to deliver "client-ready" recommendations.
- Analyze impact metrics and evaluation research across all Google.org’s reporting initiatives to strategically advise across all four Google.org philanthropic pillars.
- Synthesize cross-pillar research and evaluation results, metrics and analytics into executive narratives for use in portfolio allocation frameworks.
- Lead hypothesis-driven problem solving, impact measurability-gap assessments, and strategic prioritization for priority social impact initiatives.
