About the job

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

You will provide a foundation of clear financial insights through analytics and build-outs of analytical data layers that cut across product silos. Your responsibility is to define, analyze, and model the complex economics of intersecting value elements, e.g. the relationship between Live Streaming, Shopping, and GenAI. This role requires data fluency, an ability to model complex interactions, and the capacity to transform ambiguous strategic questions into structured financial analyses.

You are a well-rounded top performer who will be a key contributor in a high-energy growth environment. You have excellent data analysis skills, including proficiency with SQL or similar database querying languages, and will be well versed in spreadsheet modeling. You should be able to perform deep dives into the underlying assumptions and quantitative details of all analyses, as well as make recommendations for the most efficient and scalable way to complete an analysis.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
