Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience managing cross-functional internal stakeholders and building strong executive-level partner relationships.
  • Experience building financial models and managing partners.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.

We build and distribute Google products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Search, Google Assistant, Geo, Platforms and Ecosystems, Devices and Services, Retail and Shopping, Payments, Health, Ads, and Commerce.

The Strategic Partner Development Manager (SPDM) team accelerates the global growth and innovation of the Smart Home Product Area (PA) by managing new business opportunities through partnerships. We own the third-party and partner strategy and business side of new features, products, and initiatives critical to the success of Google Home.

In this role, you will develop strategies, identify, define and structure critical partnerships, negotiate agreements, and cultivate our relationships with partners. To execute effectively, you will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Marketing to ensure partner initiatives align with cross-functional Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $112000 - $162000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Identify, structure, analyze, and execute partnerships to drive Google Home business growth.
  • Lead on all stages of the agreement, from strategy through goal identification, modeling, drafting all required documentation, and execution.
  • Execute on partner integrations, product launches and go-to-market plans.
  • Lead cross-functional agreements with partners, through close collaboration with Product, Planning, Partner Engineering and other cross-functional teams (Legal, Operations, Finance).
  • Develop and present recommendations to leadership around growth, ecosystem initiatives and engaged dynamics.
