About the job

At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." Our Interaction Designers transform complex tasks into intuitive, easy-to-use experiences for billions of people. From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

We're the Ads Privacy and Safety UX team, part of the Google-wide priority to improve user trust. We protect consumers from being exposed to inappropriate ads by strengthening enforcement processes. At the same time, we ensure that advertisers are able to navigate complex policies without major interruption to their work and correct mistakes when they occur.

In this role, you will be the creative engine for our zero-to-one AI initiatives. From crafting intricate information graphics that demystify complex machine learning concepts, to producing high-quality videos and graphic design assets, you will shape how both users and internal stakeholders understand our products. To achieve this, you will actively integrate AI tools and prompt engineering into the day-to-day workflow, using technology to amplify creative process, accelerate prototyping, and discover new ways of working.

Users come first at Google. Nowhere is this more important than on our Advertising and Commerce team: we believe that ads and commercial information can be highly useful to our users if that information is relevant to what our users wish to find or do. Advertisers worldwide use Google Ads to promote their products; publishers use AdSense to serve relevant ads on their website; and business around the world use our products (like Google Shopping, and Google Wallet) to support their online businesses and bring users into their offline stores. We are constantly innovating to deliver the most effective advertising and commerce opportunities of tomorrow.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
