Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 9 years of experience in design, including experience in the technology sector.
  • A portfolio of creative work displaying experience in (Brand, Interactive, Conceptual, Experiential, or Technology) design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years in a senior design role, informally managing and influencing the broader team.
  • Experience utilizing AI productivity tools to solve complex, multi-layered problems and streamline business or development workflows.
  • Ability to build every pixel in a Doodle and every piece of typography to build brand positive sentiment.
  • Ability to handle complex technical constraints and fast-moving timelines.
  • Ability to grasp design and technology trends including how to apply these to projects, with an understanding of how to create assets for multi-resolution platforms, and product-obsession.

Brand Studio is focused on building the Google brand. By combining user insights, strategic thinking, beautiful design and storytelling, our team creates a wide range of work that drives Google’s reputation for being helpful to people, businesses, and communities. Our work also aims to build advocacy and trust in the brand. To achieve that, we’re a multidisciplinary team of marketers, strategists, insights specialists, creatives, producers, and engineers who work together to create exceptional marketing.

In this role ,you will be responsible for the design components for the major brand moments. You will help establish the design standards for Brand Studio’s major brand marketing campaigns in collaboration with multidisciplinary creative teams. You will partner closely with Design Leads to ensure our work is creatively excellent, strategically sound, and aligned with brand standards. At the same time, you will continue to push the creative boundaries to match the fast-evolving pace of our products.

The Senior Designer brings brand storytelling to life through both designing themselves and with a team of visual and motions designers. They ensure the work is aesthetically beautiful, deliverables are completed on time and messaging is clear across all campaign touchpoints. They will obsess over the details and help a talented team of designers do the same through leading by example. You will have experience overseeing a team as well as capable of stepping in and crafting the work themselves.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $171000 - $247000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Drive design projects from conception to production working closely with both team creatives and agency partners.
  • Manage stakeholder reviews, incorporate feedback and adjust deliverables based on project needs.
  • Create aesthetically excellent work that is true to the brand spirit.
  • Craft conceptual stories with the use of graphic and UI design.
  • Contribute strategically to the development of campaign identities.
