Product Business Development Lead, Automotive Apps

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics, automotive, original equipment manufacturer (OEM), telecommunications, e-commerce, apps, advertising, or technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a business or technical field.
  • Experience leading complex partnership initiatives that have impacted business outcomes.
  • Experience in partner-facing roles such as Product Management, Technical Sales, Partnerships, Sales Enablement, or Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy.
  • Experience with software architecture, operating systems, APIs, client-server models, web application development, or emerging artificial intelligence technologies.
  • Experience negotiating, structuring, and executing partnerships or ecosystem development initiatives.

About the job

This Product Business Development Lead role sits within the Android Automotive Partnerships team, which commercializes Google's In-Vehicle Infotainment offerings for the automotive industry. In this role, you will drive product adoption and influence the roadmap of our core entertainment and application ecosystem. You will serve as a seller and narrative architect, working closely with global application developers and automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to promote Google's automotive developer platforms. By translating complex software architectures into value propositions, you will lead cross-functional initiatives at the intersection of product, engineering, and partner relations.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $176000 - $255000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Advocate and promote Google's Android Automotive goal, offerings, and product roadmap to global application developers and automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs).
  • Develop and deliver tailored, high-stakes pitches to technical and executive audiences across partner organizations.
  • Author and refine powerful product value propositions that articulate the commercial benefits of Google's portfolio and ecosystem.
  • Partner with external product and User Experience (UX) teams to explore, scope, and validate product adaptations and entertainment experiences in cars.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to navigate policy, structure commercial agreements, and lead go-to-market initiatives.
