Launch Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • 3 years of experience in automations.
  • 3 years of experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with global distributed teams.
  • Experience in content policy, anti-abuse, and reviewing online content.
  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g., Python).
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment with a focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.

As a Launch Manager within the Operational Excellence (OpsEx) team, you will be driving the successful deployment of AI app review agents across various Trust and Safety verticals. You will serve as the central node for cross-functional (XFN) coordination, guiding projects through a multi-step launch playbook—from initial prompt creation and prompt tuning all the way to production deployment and post-launch monitoring.

You will be a relentless unblocker and a meticulous project manager who ensures all launch requirements are met on time, while simultaneously maintaining our high standards for AI quality and operational readiness.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional meetings across Product Management, Engineering, Policy, and Operations to track action items and manage launch-specific timelines.
  • Identify launch blockers and facilitate rapid resolution to keep classifier deployments on schedule.
  • Guarantee that all launch requirements—including Policy sign-offs on knowledge docs, SteerCo reviews, and launch document approvals are fully completed before production launch.
  • Partner closely with Program Managers (PgMs) to ensure launch timelines align with horizontal program Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and executive reporting needs.
  • Take full accountability for maintenance and monitoring after the launch.
