Technical Program Manager, Energy Asset Delivery and Management (Thai, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or technical project and portfolio management of energy infrastructure.
  • Experience with contract negotiation with power infrastructure and supply.
  • Ability to communicate in Thai and English fluently to support vendor and contractor management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in asset delivery and asset management across the energy industry.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role you will be responsible for tracking, reporting and risk mitigating the delivery of mission critical power generation and power infrastructure assets that will power Google's mission critical data centers. You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on project schedules, variances to schedule, and take any and all steps, including contract negotiations and amendments, to ensure delivery of critical infrastructure that is as on time and on budget as possible. You will intake projects from the commercial structuring team and track them until successful delivery. You will have responsibility for power supply for a set of data centers within a region and oversee consultants as necessary while also working closely with internal partner teams ranging from engineering to supply chain to real estate to construction, finance and legal.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery and oversight of third-party power asset development for Google data centers across Thailand, Southeast Asia, and APAC.
  • Collaborate closely with utilities, transmission owners, and developers to ensure projects meet strict delivery timelines, control budgets, and negotiate contract amendments.
  • Coordinate cross-functional internal teams including engineering, construction, and capacity planners to ensure smooth handoffs and proactively mitigate project risks.
  • Partner with portfolio management to develop standardized tracking tools, databases, and data governance frameworks that clearly communicate portfolio status.
  • Maintain accurate planning data, track and report plan variances, and implement corrective measures to guarantee on-time asset delivery from all counterparties.
