Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 13 years of experience in people management including identifying, attracting, and developing a team.
- Experience meeting and exceeding sales or goals in the technology industry with SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS products.
- Ability to communicate in English fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions with local stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in working with external suppliers in the area of sales/business development.
- Experience in working with corporate and enterprise customers based in the EMEA region.
- Ability to build influential relationships and to deliver results in a cross-functional environment.
- Ability to communicate in German fluently in order to effectively communicate in this customer-facing sales role.
- Excellent team-work and communication skills; ability to lift, support, inspire, and grow your team and customers.

The purpose of the Global Scaled Growth organization within the Customer Experience organization, is to scale the outreach for Google Cloud sales, access new key decision makers, generate incremental business growth, and continuously feedback customer needs to shape our go-to-market (GTM) strategy. We do this through a regional vendor model, working with trusted suppliers to bring the best of Google Cloud to customers, employees and partners.
As the Head of EMEA Scaled Growth, you will play a key role in the Global Scaled Growth and Retention sales organization and as part of the Customer Experience organisation. You will own the strategy, planning, forecasting and execution for the EMEA region.
You will lead the business development sales across all markets of the EMEA region (Northern Europe, Southern Europe and UKI/SSA) and the customer segments Enterprise Greenfield, Corporate and StartUps.
You will manage, coach and develop a team of ~10 seasoned Business Development and Program Managers and create a culture of cross-functional collaboration and high performance.
Responsibilities
- Own the management of the Google Cloud scaled growth motion in the EMEA region to deliver measurable outcomes, in driving pipeline and business growth for Google Cloud products and services across our target customer segments and priority sales plays.
- Direct the operations of our regional Suppliers to deliver exceptional business results through Vendor Business Development Representatives (BDRs), Digital Sales Reps (DSRs) and Digital Customer Engineers (DCEs).
- Deliver on monthly and quarterly metrics of opportunities and business growth and other KPIs (e.g., volume of prospecting activity, quality of opportunities, pipeline velocity, supplier score etc.).
- Ensure outstanding experience to customers and prospects (e.g., operational excellence and quality assessment, process and tooling utilization and enhancement, staff onboarding and retention, escalations etc.).
