Head of Android Business

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics, OEMs, telecom and e-commerce/retail.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management especially within the telco sector.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree or JD.
  • Experience escalating and presenting key issues and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Experience creating country business plans including financial business cases and working in highly matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to grow in fast-paced, collaborative, and ambiguous start-up like environments where thoughtfulness, an entrepreneurial mindset, persistent execution, and relationships drive success.
  • comfortable working with ambiguity, and ensuring a highly collaborative approach to determining the strategy for Android premium share growth in India.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

In this role, you will be driving android volume and share outcomes in India. Using your investigative and partner-facing/negotiation skills, you will build a set of Go-to-Market (GTM) playbooks working across the Android ecosystem (channel partners, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s), other). You will be designing and implementing GTM activities driving to agreed android share outcomes in India while working across product, product strategy, finance, marketing, first-party and third-party team and collaborating across broader cross-functional teams. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive market knowledge, you will be interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow Android. With your relationships with key industry players, you will help shape our GTM strategy and execution in India.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Android GTM plan setting android business goals for India, building business cases and ensuring broader Google support for plans to grow Android premium share in India across a broad set of stakeholders.
  • Work alongside executive leadership in platforms and devices commercial organization and Android and partner functions including finance, legal, marketing, GAPP and engineering/product. Develop strong metrics and measurement capability.
  • Develop a playbook of GTM activities across various field of influence including channel partners, OEM’s, financing and banking partners to incentivise the android ecosystem to achieve business goals.
  • Negotiate large annual/multi year commercial agreements with large industry players with complex relationships. Represent Android GTM in broader Google India forum and execute cross-functional engagements.
  • Represent Android GTM at major regional industry events, forums, and executive partner interactions to influence broader ecosystem priorities.
