Account Manager, Consumer Products and Retail (Japanese, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in sales, business development, advertising, account management, marketing, or consulting.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with large enterprise clients, preferably within the Consumer Products and Retail sector.
  • Experience with Google Ads products (Search, Display, YouTube, App Campaigns, P-Max).
  • Understanding and experiences in Commerce business (Creator Ecosystem, Retail Media, Integrated Marketing)
  • Ability to exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.

Google's Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are strategic partners and industry thought leaders to the world's leading brands and agencies. We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders within assigned retail accounts. Understand their business objectives, challenges, and opportunities to proactively identify and propose Google solutions.
  • Drive business growth by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities across Google's advertising products. Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Craft compelling, data-driven proposals and presentations that clearly articulate the value proposition of Google's solutions in addressing client needs. Deliver impactful pitches to various levels of client organizations.
  • Oversee the successful implementation of advertising campaigns, collaborating with internal specialist teams (e.g., gTech, Product Specialists) to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction. Identify and implement optimization strategies.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the retail industry, market trends, and competitive landscape. Stay current with Google's advertising products and solutions, effectively communicating their benefits to clients.
