- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in educational leadership, or consulting within the education sector.
- Experience in stakeholder management, working with government officials, or leading multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Experience in digital transformation, AI in education, education technology, or system-level strategy design and implementation.
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to engage with clients in the region.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience navigating complex regulatory environments and building sustainable partnerships in diverse settings.
- Deep understanding of learning science principles and the challenges facing contemporary education systems.
- Strong communication and consensus-building skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders with conflicting priorities.
- Proven track record collaborating with national or regional ministries of education to deliver expansive, technology-driven systemic initiatives.

The Government and Strategic Engagement team works directly with governments, international organizations, and global partners to transform education systems and reimagine teaching and learning with the support of digital technology and AI. Acting as strategic thought partners, we help leaders create national digital transformation roadmaps centered on equity, privacy, security, learning science principles and sustainability. We keep educators at the center of innovation, building antifragile ecosystems that improve learning outcomes and foster long-term human flourishing.
We build trust and demonstrate the true value of Google’s technology stack. By aligning system-level strategy with Google’s capabilities, we lay the essential foundation for Sales, Partnerships, Solutions Engineering, Digital Transformation and Impact teams to drive lasting, measurable adoption.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with governments, international organizations and global partners to co-design system-level transformations.
- Cultivate and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, education ministers, and international organization leaders.
- Articulate the strategic value of Google’s technology stack in the context of large-scale systemic transformation, moving beyond individual product adoption to address national priorities.
- Partner with Sales, Partnerships, and Digital Transformation teams to lay the foundation for sustainable technology adoption, ensuring that system-level improvement is measurable and scalable.
- Act as a bridge between high-level policy strategy and Google’s product and engineering teams to ensure our solutions meet the specific needs of our partners. This includes coordinating with teams outside of Google for Education including Google Research, DeepMind, Government and Public Policy and YouTube.
