Technical Program Manager III, NPI Product Operations, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with new product introduction (NPI), hardware product operations, and product development lifecycles.
  • Experience in supply planning, forecasting, and hardware manufacturing operations, including hardware bill of materials (BOM) and assembly and test processes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in project management to launch new hardware products for complex electronics (PCBA, Server, racks, L6,L10 and L11 manufacturing).
  • Prior direct engagement in end to end supply chain, material management, planning, and supply chain design.
  • Knowledge of typical Hardware BOM, Manufacturing Assembly and Test Processes, product development lifecycles.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

As a Technical Program Manager in Central Product Operations, you will bridge our AI strategic goals with hardware development and supply chain execution. You will drive cross-organizational programs, providing strategic guidance and integrating AI-driven workflows to enhance efficiency and scale. By partnering closely with engineering and product teams, you will translate ambiguous objectives into measurable outcomes, ensuring the successful delivery of next-generation AI hardware.

Our Platforms Infrastructure Engineering team designs and builds the
hardware and software technologies that power all of Google's services. Our computational challenges are complex and unique, enabled by cutting-edge custom hardware designed and made in-house. As a hardware engineer, you will design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You will see those systems from concept all the way through to high-volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers, affecting millions of Google users.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Scope and lead top-level OKRs in ambiguous environments by translating complex objectives into clear, actionable roadmaps and milestones across Infrastructure Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams.
  • Identify key areas of friction within the end-to-end supply chain and design scalable frameworks or AI-assisted workflows such as for capacity planning or risk mitigation to boost operational efficiency and decision velocity.
  • Build deep partnerships across various teams, serving as a central point of influence to remove barriers, mobilize resources, and drive consensus on critical technical decisions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and mentor for junior program managers, fostering an AI-First problem-solving culture and sharing best practices in prompt engineering to elevate the team's technical capabilities.
  • Advocate for and adopt AI-driven tools designed to automate end-to-end processes, streamline project coordination, and accelerate overall program execution.
