Head of Business Operations and Sales Growth, GCS

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.
  • 5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
  • Experience managing teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of strategic thinking and structured problem solving, including building hypotheses, conducting data analysis, uncovering insights, building and executing recommendations.
  • Knowledge of Google’s Ads products, sales teams, or service operations, and the customer and competitive contexts in which they operate.
  • Ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, high energy, constantly evolving, team environment.
  • Ability to effectively influence, communicate and drive change with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation development skills, and ability to take ambiguous topics and turn them into stories that influence an audience.

About the job

As Head of Business Operations and Sales Growth in APAC, you will be responsible for shaping, defining and transforming the APAC GCS growth agenda through exceptional operations and advising leadership on strategic tradeoffs with respect to planning, headcount, and other key investment choices. Your primary focus is to drive excellence in GCS APAC-wide business execution and processes to drive outsized business impact through data-driven insights, run operations across key business levers to ensure sales and focus on selling and lead APAC’s regional strategy and incubate our moonshots to accelerate revenue growth.

You are a successful people leader, a proven thought leader, a sought-after business partner, and bring strong structured problem solving to the team. You should be a self-initiator that can "crunch the numbers", partner with senior stakeholders to think through strategic issues, and communicate effectively with global teams to drive significant change initiatives. Your day-to-day stakeholders will be the regional VP of GCS APAC Sales, Sales Leadership, as well as global strategy and GTM leaders. You will own the end-to-end business planning, analytics, sales operations, people management, organization design and staffing, and strategic regional big bets that enable the regional VP of Sales to drive impact for GCS APAC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to drive operational execution and special cross-channel/cross-functional projects. Solve complex business and operational problems hindering sales growth in the region.
  • Drive annual business planning, including critical organisational conception and design to deliver aspirational growth, and organizational health to ensure long-term sustainability of sales teams, in collaboration with Finance, Recruiting and Sales.
  • Drive performance analytics in partnership with Finance and Product Activation teams to ensure right insights on business metrics for Sales leadership.
  • Lead analytical projects in service of actionable, implementable insights. Deliver on core sales operations (e.g., Channel Management, Productivity, Policy).
  • Lead strategic bets to invest in key GTM strategies, policy and product innovations that unlock growth. Develop net new performance strategies, such as regional acceleration plans, sales enablement or competitive winning approaches, through opportunity analysis and GTM testing and launching.
