Program Manager, AI Transparency Reporting

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in program or project management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of the AI landscape: product development and key policy issues.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate projects with changing requirements, competing demands, inputs from multiple stakeholders and external deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and complete deliverables, consulting subject matter experts.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills. Able to build relationships, align across multiple functions and effectively manage expectations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to craft clear and concise narratives for reports and supporting documentation and tailor communications to inform and influence different stakeholders.

In the AI Transparency Reporting team, we look to deliver critical AI-related transparency reporting and establish reporting systems that are consistent, scalable and sustainable across Google.

As a Program Manager in Google's AI Transparency Reporting team within Trust and Safety, you will ensure the transparency and accountability of Google's AI systems to regulators and key opinion formers worldwide, delivering reporting that works across Google’s product ecosystem. You will contribute to critical projects in the fast-moving AI Transparency Reporting space, collaborating extensively with cross-functional partners across Google to identify requirements, drive alignment, and deliver complex regulatory reports.

You will serve as an expert in AI Transparency, translating complex technical concepts into clear, plain language for regulators and key opinion formers, ultimately ensuring that Google's transparency efforts are consistent, scalable, and sustainable across all products and services.

In addition to delivering transparency reporting, this role also involves supporting strategic initiatives to continuously improve AI Transparency Reporting processes.

This is a rapidly evolving space. To be effective in this role, you must be adept at creative thinking, solving new problems and agile execution at startup speed. You will stay informed about the dynamic regulatory landscape, industry trends, and internal operations and communicate solution based recommendations to executives and drive innovative solutions.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $111000 - $159000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Analyze incoming AI regulatory reporting requirements and prepare for operational deliverables across the team.
  • Manage the coordination and delivery of AI regulatory reporting requirements, working closely with other members of the Regulatory Reporting team.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to share insights and developments and coordinate on joint deliverables.
  • Operationalize new and existing regulatory reporting processes, utilizing AI where possible, to maximize scale and efficiency and minimize risk.
  • Establish leadership presence and execute against strategic programs for the team, including transparency site.
