Vendor Solutions and Governance Lead

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience with leadership in global vendor operations, program management, or risk and compliance within a technology or high regulatory environment.
  • 6 years of experience in managing and leading teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience leveraging Business Intelligence (BI), data analysis, and forecasting to influence senior stakeholder decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement automated solutions for manual processes and scale nascent programs into mature operational systems.
  • Proven track record of managing business process outsourcing (BPO) ecosystems, including supplier relationship ownership and contract governance.

About the job

YouTube (YT) Ops Global Vendor Operations center of excellence responsible for maintaining structure and rigor across YT Scaled Vendor supplier base. This includes vendor adherence to requirements including Vendor Contract Terms, Tools Access Programs, Wellness programming, extended workforce solutions and designing and managing vendor governance solutions that enable the GVO teams to measure Vendor Compliance across the Supplier base for our scaled outsourced operations.

The YouTube Vendor center of excellence (CoE) is responsible for maintaining structure and rigor across the YouTube scaled vendor supplier base.

As the Vendor Solutions and Governance Lead, you will lead a critical, multifaceted pillar within the YouTube Vendor Operations team. You will lead a pillar of a centralized partner governance function, creating the operating rhythm that enables vendor foundational quality while keeping YouTube safe. You will bridge high-level Global Vendor Operations (GVO) strategic objectives with flawless execution, overseeing a pillar that includes Supplier Solutions, Commercial Transformation and Governance and Security Access Control Programs. You will be pivotal in future-proofing YouTube’s vendor operations through an insights-driven risk management approach, ensuring our global network is secure, commercially optimized, and capable of scaling new initiatives into mature systems.At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end contract lifecycle from Request for Proposal (RFP) execution and solutions designed to high-stakes executive negotiations, partnering with Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and Legal to secure optimal fee models.
  • Drive the transition to outcome-based billing and enforce strict vendor accountability by tracking Service Level Agreements (SLAs), deploying Key Performance Indicator reporting, and managing "Performance Improvement Plans to Cure."
  • Oversee the strategy for secure, low-friction vendor access to YouTube tools, implementing automated controls like Non-Unilateral Access Control (NUAC) to prevent data exfiltration.
  • Direct global insider risk programs, lead technical compliance auditing across the vendor footprint, and drive Google Tech Mandate solutions for YT Biz Ops.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team while partnering with senior cross-functional executives to solve complex, ambiguous problems, drive operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and execute detailed and high-level strategies.
