Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Risk Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fire Risk Assessment Certification (a Level 4 Diploma or equivalent).
- 10 years of experience in fire engineering, technical auditing, and life safety governance across high-rise, laboratory, or multi-site commercial portfolios.
- Experience in auditing buildings.
Preferred qualifications:
- Relevant international safety and fire prevention credentials, including CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist – NFPA), CFPA Europe Diploma, or NEBOSH (National or International Certificate/Diploma).
- Proven ability to review technical drawings, critique evacuation models, and audit third-party engineering reports.
- Full or Fellow grade in a recognized fire safety body—such as the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) (ideally on the Fire Risk Assessor Register), the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM), or the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE).

We are seeking a senior Fire Safety Engineering Lead to direct the regional governance, audit, and validation of fire and life safety programs across our EMEA portfolio. In this role, you will act as the regional technical authority within the EHS organization, partnering closely with the Real Estate team to evaluate physical risks and establish practical, scalable safety frameworks. This position requires deep engineering fluency to audit, validate, and provide robust technical oversight of external consultancies, review architectural and MEP design packages, and govern life safety standards across complex high-rises, research laboratories, and large event operations.
As a senior technical leader within the team, you will drive excellence and strategic resilience across the region, providing authoritative fire engineering governance, quality assurance, and audit oversight throughout the EMEA footprint.

Responsibilities
- Author and govern regional fire policies, leveraging leading European and international frameworks (such as UK Building Safety Act/Fire Safety Order, or local equivalents) to standardize and elevate safety performance across EMEA.
- Review, audit, and validate architectural plans and MEP fire strategies for new builds and fit-outs, providing rigorous technical oversight of external consultants.
- Standardize and govern a regional Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) program, executing quality assurance audits on third-party assessments.
- Serve as regional SME translating for example UK standards (Approved Document B, BS 9999/9991) alongside international codes (NFPA 101/5000, UAE Fire and Life Safety Code, German standards).
- Work with fire engineering consultancies and risk assessors under performance SLAs to ensure deliverable quality.
