Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
  • Experience designing AI-powered solutions in a business environment.
  • Experience working with enterprise product, and experience in advertising or Business Intelligence (BI).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience designing AI-powered solutions in a business environment.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

Join the AViD (Apps, Video and Display) team to lead the design strategy and execution for the next generation of mobile app advertising with AI. As Senior UX Designer, you will help define the future of the mobile app monetization journey.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $159000 - $231000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead and own the design outlook for medium and complex product areas, establishing and evolving the patterns, frameworks, and standards that enable the design team to scale effectively.
  • Drive design strategy and alignment across multiple teams and functions and influence product roadmaps.
  • Act as a core partner to the project stakeholders, Product Management, Engineering, and Research, translating user needs and business goals into a cohesive product outlook.
  • Articulate a compelling product outlook through a range of artifacts, including storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes, to effectively gain buy-in and communicate user flows and interaction models.
  • Advocate for user-centered design methodologies, defining and leading research and usability efforts to ensure product solutions are validated, accessible, and meet a high standard of quality.
