Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Chinese fluently to work with partners and stakeholders in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, brand marketing, or in a media agency environment.
  • Experience improving business relationships and developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience in ecosystem planning and development.
  • Ability to think strategically about complex issues and to develop recommendations and action plans.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with a broad range of internal and external constituents simultaneously.

About the job

The Google Agency team is responsible for driving incremental business growth via our full-service, creative and media agency partners. As a senior Strategic Agency Manager, you will focus on ecosystem development, growing long-term relationships with managed traditional media and digital agencies and drive growth through agency-managed accounts with large brand and performance opportunities. You will provide the highest level of customer service to our agency partners. You will develop Google solutions to drive business growth for high opportunity customers and then, with your Account team and implement campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a data-driven market mapping strategy to identify high-potential agencies, based on the input of key business models(EC, B2B/Lead Gen, App, and Branding). Assess market trends to pivot hunting focus toward high-growth areas (e.g., Influencer Marketing, Social Compete, etc.).
  • Direct and manage external vendor teams responsible for scaled market research, cold calling, and initial qualification. Optimize the lead qualification funnel, ensuring high-quality hand-offs from vendor research to your strategic engagement.
  • Lead executive-level pitches to recruit net-new partners, articulating Google’s unique value proposition (Tech, Global Reach) against competitors. Structure and negotiate partnership terms, incentive frameworks, and Joint Business Plans (JBPs) to align partner investment with Google’s growth goals.
