Software Engineer III, Manufacturing AI Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C/C++, JavaScript).
  • 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging) or Agentic AI Development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

The Manufacturing AI Infrastructure Team aims to be the core ML and Advanced Analytics enabler within Central Test Engineering, driving Smart Manufacturing through real-time operational intelligence. We provide a comprehensive end-to-end platform that handles the complete data lifecycle, from scalable data ingestion and processing to advanced model training and automated deployment. This integrated system is designed to seamlessly transform raw factory data into actionable Analytics Insights, empowering our partners to rapidly develop, deploy, and monitor robust AI-driven solutions.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop components of scalable machine learning (ML) and agentic AI infrastructure for manufacturing.
  • Maintain and improve existing AI platform for support of advanced automatic optical inspection.
  • Develop and operate scalable back-end for online ML model serving and online inference.
  • Develop advanced data collection backend and analytical portal for advanced manufacturing insights.
  • Write design documents and participate in design reviews.
