Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure, Cloud Marketplace

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience programming in Java.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • Experience developing in Python, particularly in the context of implementing agentic workflows or AI transformations.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will bring technical clarity to complex, multi-year stacks. Working autonomously, you will design zero-to-one capabilities and re-architect existing high-volume systems to support agentic workflows. By partnering directly with Product and Engineering leadership, you will translate broad business goals into scalable, reliable backend infrastructure that delivers measurable impact.

US: $207000 - $301000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Define the technical direction, goal, and long-term architectural roadmap for the Cloud MarketPlace ecosystem, aligning it with broader Cloud product goals.
  • Write and test system development code to address complex, open-ended problems, designing robust infrastructure solutions that reduce operational complexity and design debt.
  • Triage system issues and debug, track, or resolve them by analyzing their root causes and evaluating their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Mentor team members, influence technical decisions across the wider organization, and review code to ensure best practices such as accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (like Product) to build foundational capabilities for Cloud MarketPlace, and contribute to technical documentation or educational content based on system updates.
