Strategy and Operations Manager, gTech Agency and Partners

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 4 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
  • People management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Agency or Partner ecosystem.
  • Experience operating at scale and driving operational efficiency across complex cross-functional teams. Experience in advocate and test executive stakeholders across all regions.
  • Experience in designing globally consistent concepts and landing them in regions.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and areas for improvement, and to operate in a changing environment with excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple teams concurrently. Proven ability to adapt in a changing environment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Developed executive presence and demonstrated influencing skills.

The Go-To-Market (GTM) organization provides business insights, ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps leadership identify and drive programs and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives. gTech provides technical expertise across all Google products to support our global Sales and Partnerships teams. Within gTech, the Ads teams take a customer-centric, creative, and collaborative approach to provide optimization, implementation and troubleshooting support services to all types of advertisers and publishers and sales teams. The experts help customers attain their business goals while providing the best troubleshooting support through different channels.

The gTech Agency and Partner team is responsible for driving gTech Ads' engagement with third-party partners across the ecosystem to drive increased scale, while building the ecosystem's capability to drive client outcomes via Google's products.

The Strategy and Operations team drives the strategy development with the management team, while ensuring accountabilty to the core goals, and driving operational effectiveness.

The team also engages across the Global Business Organization (GBO) teams working on third-party, and works to integrate efforts as one holistic strategy and GTM.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $186000 - $269000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and operations for third-party Strategy in gTech Ads. Define and power effective engagement and delivery operating models to drive the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across GBO on third-party; partnering with the gTech Ads business leader to drive effective operations in their organization, and those they partner with.
  • Devise and implement opportunities to operate more effectively at scale, via programs or initiatives.
  • Ensure reliable and accurate business reporting and insight generation to power the business, via consolidating regional views and differences.
  • Partner with the cross-functional Strategy and Operations (S&O) leaders to inform and land strategies; and partner to operate the end-to-end business effectively for gTech Ads.
