Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in operations and vendor management.
  • Experience identifying issues in processes, creating solutions, and working with cross-functional teams to drive these changes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience analyzing data and generating business insights to guide business decisions.
  • Experience managing multiple vendors and operations teams to deliver multiple research surveys concurrently against tight deadlines.
  • Experience leading end-to-end research operations for both quantitative and qualitative research, including surveys, in-depth interviews, and focus groups.
  • Experience using SQL to oversee the development of dashboards and management of data sources.

About the job

As a Research Operations Manager on the Market Intelligence Team, you operationalize and scale research workflows or processes used by suppliers or internal teams through process efficiency and automation. You will partner cross-functionally to establish and evaluate the performance of survey research operations processes, identify opportunities for improvement, deploy processes, solutions, and optimizations, and manage relationships with suppliers or internal teams to significantly impact efficiency, quality, and cost effective goals.

GBO includes the commercial arms of Ads sellers, business development teams, and customer services and support, as well as overlay programs that enable coordinated engagement with Google's most complex and important customers and partners.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $111000 - $160000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Manage research vendor and scaled operations, including performance, reporting, consultation, Service Level Agreements (SLAs)/deliverables, and operations strategies.
  • Develop and maintain the overall research operations strategy, identify and mitigate risk from a delivery standpoint, and ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures.
  • Review operational metrics, identify process improvement opportunities, and drive improvement of quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Provide end-to-end support for operations activities and act as the primary point of contact for related administrative tasks (e.g., SOW negotiations, PO management) and escalations from internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-impact research and oversee Operational Expenditure (OPEX) management for scaled research operations.
