About the job

In this role, you will lead product management for Work Management, the center of how work gets planned, tracked, and done at Google. Work Management owns some of Google's most widely used internal products. It is also building agentic orchestration that proactively moves work forward for individuals and teams. Today these are tools people update by hand. Our goal is to turn them into "headless," agent-native systems of record. Work state is captured automatically in the background, agents take on the toil of coordination and execution, and humans are brought in only for the decisions where their judgment matters most.

As the Principal PM for Work Management, you will be both a product leader and a leader of leaders. You will set the vision and strategy for the area, personally drive the most ambiguous zero-to-one bets, and lead a small team of strong senior PMs. You will partner closely with Engineering, UX, Code AI, DeepMind, and product area leaders across Google to drive measurable, Google-scale outcomes in the throughput and velocity of shipping high-quality products.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Set vision and strategy to evolve work platforms into open, agent-native, headless platforms for planning, tracking, and executing work across Google.
  • Drive "headless first" workflows where Googlers work (Chat, Docs, IDEs, Antigravity), defining human-agent collaboration with team-in-the-loop autonomy and automated tracking, triage, and reporting.
  • Lead and inspire senior PMs, building a culture of technical excellence, speed, and product taste while personally owning complex zero-to-one problems.
  • Partner with Work AI, Code AI, DeepMind, and lighthouse teams to deliver a coherent PDLC experience and own Google's agentic work narrative.
  • Advocate for agent quality and self-improvement, owning north-star metrics for PDLC throughput and velocity from idea to merged change.
