Director, 1P Direct to Consumer Commerce and Performance Marketing

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on premium retail e-commerce, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) digital storefronts, and performance marketing (e.g., leading consumer brands, premium retail/beauty/lifestyle, or consumer electronics).
  • 8 years of people management experience, leading cross-functional digital teams in global markets.
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar performance marketing budgets, commercial P&Ls, or direct revenue-influencing digital commerce functions ($500M+).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience deploying marketing technology and AI-assisted marketing automation workflows.
  • Strong executive leadership, communication, and cross-functional people skills.
  • Proven track record scaling a premier DTC e-commerce business while seamlessly connecting digital journeys with physical retail manifestations and connected O2O customer experiences.
  • Deep expertise in digital visual merchandising, catalog assortment expansion, and driving attach for high-margin digital services and subscriptions.
  • Demonstrated mastery of conversion rate optimization web UX experimentation, customer analytics, and site personalization engines.
  • Deep background in modern incrementality-first paid media attribution, full-funnel demand generation, and advanced CRM/lifecycle retention clienteling.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the global Direct to Consumer (DTC) commercial marketing strategy for Google Store and native Owned & Operated (O&O) digital surfaces, driving customer acquisition, digital traffic, and conversion to influence $1B+ in annual direct commerce revenue.
  • Direct digital flagship storefront strategy, digital visual merchandising, and promotional campaign architecture across global markets, elevating Google Store into a premium retail destination.
  • Lead web UX experimentation, automated merchandising tools, personalization engines, and purchase funnel optimizations to maximize conversion rates, average order value, and customer lifetime value.
  • Architect consumer-facing merchandising and storytelling strategies for an expanding retail catalog, integrating 1P hardware with curated premium lifestyle accessories and high-margin digital subscriptions/services.
