Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in digital advertising, web publishing, ad tech (SSP/DSP/Ad Network), management consulting, or digital business development.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of web economics, content creation, distribution, and business generation.
  • Ability to dissect complex datasets (via SQL, or Python) to extract insights and craft compelling executive narratives.
  • Ability to be self-driven, rapid learning agility, and ambition to expand the role's boundaries.
  • Excellent business instinct skills to critically evaluate claims and diagnose traffic quality issues.
  • Excellent empathy and communication skills to influence and build rapport with various stakeholders.

As the Greater China (GRCN) web publisher landscape evolves toward greater sophistication and consolidation, the Web team serves as the frontline commercial engine managing Google’s most valuable and strategic web partners. Our portfolio spans high-growth web properties, programmatic publishers, content networks, search syndication, and digital tools.

In this role, you will act as a senior commercial advisor, growth strategist, and ecosystem analyst. You will not simply manage accounts you will unlock entirely new business models, guide partners into emerging digital verticals, and uncover high-return investment opportunities. You will possess an instinctive curiosity about traffic quality, user behavior, and advertiser ROI, with the analytical intuition to look beneath surface-level metrics to distinguish sustainable value from risk.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Consult C-level partners using data-driven insights on industry trends and audience models to drive high-ROI investments.
  • Manage multi-product web business generation, designing yield roadmaps that balance publisher revenue, UX, and advertiser ROI.
  • Investigate traffic and auction telemetry to detect anomalies and safeguard ecosystem integrity.
  • Lead complex negotiations across various partner segments, building credibility through strategic domain expertise.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, gTech, Trust and Safety) to resolve bottlenecks and scale solutions.
