Strategic Agency Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience driving client success using advanced sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, competitive selling and compelling storytelling.
  • Knowledge of agency business models, customer strategies, and new business acquisition tactics.
  • knowledge of online marketing strategy and campaigns, paired with strong problem solving skills to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to autonomously manage client portfolios in a fast-paced sales context, consistently overachieving business quotas and driving business growth.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously across a broad range of internal and external constituents.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills to build alignment across different teams.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a Strategic Agency Manager, you will leverage executive influencing skills to partner with performance media agencies. You will increase the value Google brings to their agency and customers' businesses to drive revenue growth and product adoption for Google. You will focus on C-level stakeholder relationships and co-create business growth strategies with a portfolio of agencies by identifying and executing opportunities.

You will focus on increasing digital capabilities and strengthening long-term growth partnerships within our GCS agencies, driving scalable revenue growth and product adoption across agency-managed accounts. You will drive alignment on strategic resources for these agencies to fuel growth enablement initiatives, collaborating with client strategists and product specialists to deliver mutual revenue growth to our agencies, customers, and Google.

You‘ll develop the acquisition and promote capabilities of your assigned agencies across all levels of the organization to enable sustainable business growth for all parties. Your deep knowledge of online media, combined with your communication skills, executive influencing, and analytical abilities, shapes how your agencies’ new and existing businesses grow.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Canada: $162000 - $167000 (CAD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious annual and quarterly revenue targets by scaling product adoption across a different portfolio of agency clients.
  • Analyze growth drivers, manage risks, and design multi-quarter strategic plans to uncover and maximize client opportunities.
  • Develop and execute annual Joint Business Plans anchored in high-growth goals, strategic value partnerships, and commercial agreements.
  • Pursue long-term strategic goals for new and existing business while consistently prioritizing exceptional sales experiences for partners.
  • Strengthen executive and operational relationships across all levels, from agency C-suite leaders to media planners and buyers.
