Strategic Partner Manager, Scaled

  • 1 year of experience in the video, media, entertainment industry.
  • Experience as a YouTube creator or working with partners or creators.
  • Experience in an external-facing customer interaction role within customer support, sales, or relationship development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Canadian YouTube content industry.
  • Experience in project management, using project execution frameworks, with a high attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects at the same time.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, facilitation of small and large events, writing and delivery.
  • Track record of achieving product adoption, content and growth goals for external partners.
  • Ability to communicate in French fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a Strategic Partner Manager (SPM) you will manage a portfolio of YouTube creators identified as strategic to our business objectives. You will drive product adoption and optimization across YouTube's platform priorities while also assessing creators' needs and goals, crafting a plan to grow their channel, delivering insight, and strategy to enable their success on YouTube. You will deliver against partner performance metrics and core program KPIs to drive maximum impact.

In this role, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, and build a working understanding of YouTube internal processes, products, and teams. You'll support your team in deepening relationships with key partners and creators, helping them optimize and adopt features, enabling YouTube to be successful. You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams, working to resolve partner issues and educate partners on policies and best practices. You will engage creators for pilots and beta testing and develop pitch resources.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 98,000-100,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain strategic, scaled partnerships across YouTube verticals through various engagement models to achieve long-term business goals.
  • Drive adoption of YouTube products and optimizations, directly supporting creators in achieving their unique content, business generation, and audience development targets.
  • Act as a primary guide for partners to ensure full adherence to community guidelines and business generation policies while navigating internal support and operations systems.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify emerging trends, troubleshoot potential issues, and implement strategies that ensure sustained partner growth.
  • Partner with internal teams—including product, sales, and legal—to resolve complex business challenges and execute large-scale initiatives like workshops and events to share industry best practices.
