Product Lead, Gmail Life Management

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical roles.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience developing or launching products or technologies within artificial intelligence or machine learning (AI/ML).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with AI/ML and Large Language Models (LLMs) (applications, strengths, training and evals, quality etc.).
  • Experience successfully launching complex mobile and web experiences.
  • Ability to comfortably dive into data and metrics, and analyze product success to guide direction.
  • Ability to lead large cross-functional efforts with executive stakeholders and vice president visibility.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Track record of driving alignment across teams and product areas to land a shared goal and launch roadmap.

Gmail has entered into the Gemini era! We are hiring for a Product Management lead of a new Gmail pillar, called Gmail Life Management. The goal of this team is to make Gmail the best place for consumers to manage the different aspects in their lives. A large part of the focus will be on enabling the highest value shopping journeys for users on Gmail. This will require leading tight collaboration across Gmail and Ads and Commerce teams, including Wallet, Shopping, and Ads teams.

US: $192000 - $279000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain strategic partnerships across Gmail and Google Product Areas to align objectives and ship new features integrating Google Wallet, Google Ads, and commerce ecosystems.
  • Build and deliver on a roadmap of integration opportunities, actively evaluating new first-party and third-party partnerships that create high user value as connected experiences in Gmail.
  • Drive product definition for seamless consumer journeys that integrate high-value Google services into the core Gmail experience (including AI Inbox, Summaries, Cards), leveraging strong product instinct, relentless experimentation, and fast decision making.
  • Partner across Google Product Areas, Gmail Pillars and Workspace teams to deliver seamless and delightful cross-app solutions, driving the launch cycle from review to GA, aligning stakeholders, and prioritizing the roadmap.
  • Be comfortable with AI features for consumers and understanding of the market and user value.
