Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 2 years of experience in management consulting, construction management, operations, business analytics, or a related function.
  • 2 years of experience with SQL (querying structured datasets), spreadsheet-based modeling (e.g., Sheets), data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, or similar BI platforms) for business planning, forecasting, or financial analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, Master's degree or PhD in a Management field with an emphasis on Construction, Business Operations, and Strategy.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Data driven problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key challenges, gather and analyze large complex data sets to support hypotheses and develop actionable recommendations.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Reporting to Data Center and Delivery Engineering (DCDE) StratOps Lead, you will own analytical programs including headcount modeling, capacity planning, and organizational analytics.

In this role, you will engage with leaders to design well-constructed analyses, developing decision support models (such as resource and headcount modeling, growth analysis, and metrics) that unlock strategic and tactical insights through key performance indicators and targets. Working cross-functionally with Analysts, Operations, Engineers, and Team Leaders, you will deliver innovative, actionable recommendations.

You will have five or more years of relevant experience, is comfortable operating in a high-paced, changing environment, and can navigate ambiguity while managing multiple functions efficiently. This position requires strong communication, analytics, and organization skills to build partnerships across Google Data Centers (GDC) and Technical Infrastructure (TI), and includes travel up to thirty percent of the time as required.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $132000 - $189000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Identify and structure critical business problems, distilling complex data into core issues and actionable, high-impact recommendations.
  • Own the DCDE Headcount Model, aligning staffing ratios and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) forecasting methodologies with Finance, HR, and DCDE leadership.
  • Partner with central DCData-AI to coordinate data pipelines, model enhancements, and automated reporting infrastructure.
  • Deliver capacity reporting, organizational health metrics, and executive operational dashboards to translate complex data into actionable insight.
  • Manage recurring planning syncs and cross-pillar communications to maintain accurate resource plans through organizational changes and implement process improvements to reduce reporting toil, enhance data quality, and accelerate workforce planning cycles.
