Program Manager, Environmental Health and Safety, Data Centers

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Obtain active general OHS Expert Certification (Ahli K3 Umum) issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker RI).
  • 2 years of experience in EHS management systems or experience managing EHS compliance.
  • Experience in Indonesian EHS regulations.
  • Experience in conducting EHS Risk Assessments (HIRADC/IBPR) and overseeing hazard control measures.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing multi-site portfolios and coordinating with third-party vendors and local authorities (Disnaker).
  • Experience navigating shared health and safety responsibilities and joint risk management protocols within colocation environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Indonesian Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) laws, associated municipal/provincial regulations, as well as EHS best practices.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Indonesia fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. The Global EHS Operations program aims to provide a reliable, scalable, and effective EHS service that empowers all stakeholders to achieve a safe, sustainable work environment, regardless of geography or operational differences. Advocate and influence leaders to establish a healthy work environment. Ensure that Google infrastructure complies with all applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements.

This commitment extends to proactive and engaging safety programs and services, including environmental regulatory compliance and technical due diligence, occupational safety regulatory compliance, occupational health regulatory compliance, contractor management and EHS performance management, incident investigations, design for safety, product safety, new product introductions, consensus standards, and assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key contributor to continuous improvement across Google's EHS operations by building trusted relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations of program stakeholders and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of programs, proactively identifying, organizing, and leading program activities that drive impactful business, operational, and technical improvements within the EHS domain.
  • Define and address undefined cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges, utilizing program management methodologies to effectively monitor and manage programs and stakeholders.
  • Be able to travel (0% - 50%) and to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week (extendable as business requests).
