Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 14 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience with commercial business partnering in technology, advertising or media industries.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, Master's degree or professional qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading digital transformation, including the strategic use or sponsorship of AI.
  • Proven track record of authoring a strategic business goal and successfully rallying cross-functional teams to execute against it.
  • Proven success in planning and managing at both the strategic and operational level.
  • Excellent leadership, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to create and foster strong cross-functional networks and manage without authority.
  • Excellent analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment.

Business Finance provides financial and analytical support and advice to Google’s Global Business Organization (GBO). Our work is integral to the operations and strategy of the commercial teams across all our advertising products. From understanding market and usage trends to exploring the productivity and return of our various investments, the business finance organization is an important partner and independent advisor to the commercial leaders in our company.

As Head of Business Finance for EMEA Emerging Markets (EEM), a dynamic and high-growth business region, you will be a visionary leader responsible for charting the strategic financial future of the region. You will help our sales leaders identify new growth vectors, build multi-year scenarios, and make strategic decisions that shape the future of Google's footprint across these varied markets. Working on multiple projects at a time, you will focus on the details while finding creative ways to address big picture challenges across varied markets. Leveraging the analytical capability of the team, you'll provide executive level management with insightful business recommendations, planning and reporting support. Ultimately, you will set a compelling business goal, influence execution by working with executive leaders, and inspire a high-performing team to navigate the medium and long-term in relation to market opportunities and potential threats.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Define and advocate a forward-looking, multi-year strategic goal for the EEM region, identifying new commercial opportunities and guiding executive-level decision-making.
  • Set an inspiring goal for your team, developing a high-performing group of analysts while fostering a culture of continuous learning, digital upskilling, and technological curiosity.
  • Provide thoughtful leadership and influence executive level decision making through deep analytical insight into core business decisions such as prioritization of revenue opportunities across emerging markets.
  • ­Build a strong network across sales, finance and product leadership, as well as a team of analysts across sales, operations and finance to address a wide range of analytical and operational questions.
  • Act as the primary sponsor for AI innovation within your team, partner with central teams to pilot and scale impactful AI solutions.
