Strategic Partner Development Senior Associate, Better Together

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachlore's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience in business development, OEM licensing, or partnership management, with a proven track record of negotiating complex, multi-year hardware/software integration agreements.
  • Direct experience managing partnerships within the consumer electronics, semiconductor, or IoT sectors, specifically focusing on cross-device connectivity protocols or platform-level integrations.
  • Proven ability to develop long-term ecosystem strategies, conduct rigorous market sizing, and perform competitive analysis to identify high-growth partnership opportunities.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

The Android Multi-Device/Better Together team is at the forefront of orchestrating a cohesive, intuitive experience across the world’s hardware ecosystem. We are building a future where the friction between devices disappears, allowing users to effortlessly discover, connect, and command their personal tech landscape.

A critical pillar of this goal is Cast: creating 'magical' moments where technology aids the user needs at the right time and place. To achieve this, we sit at the center of a massive global web, collaborating with internal engineering and legal teams, as well as external chipset makers, device manufacturers, to integrate next-generation services into our global accessibility network.

You will be the primary architect for expanding our cross-device ecosystem into untapped environments, moving our connectivity and casting technologies beyond the traditional living room.

Working at the intersection of hardware and software, you will identify and secure pivotal partnerships that allow our technologies to grow on, non-traditional surfaces. From concept to launch, you will drive the strategy that makes our "Better Together" goals a global reality across an array of hardware and software platforms.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $112000 - $162000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Identify and initiate high-impact partnerships with global organizations to integrate seamless cross-device connectivity and casting technologies into new hardware and software environments.
  • Lead the end-to-end agreement lifecycle, from initial exploratory discussions and business case development to the complex discussion of commercial and technical agreements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to ensure partner implementations meet rigorous performance standards and align with the "Better Together" long-term roadmap.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, serving as the primary lead for scaling adoption and launching innovative multi-device user experiences.
  • Conduct quantitative market analysis and industry research to identify emerging trends, helping to shape the future strategy of how the ecosystem interacts with ambient and mobile technology.
