Product Manager, AIRX

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a Technology or Business related field.
  • Experience in end-to-end foundation model integration, agentic workflows, and production performance trade-offs.
  • Ability to rapidly build functional POCs and validate hypotheses using AI-assisted coding tools.
  • Proven track record of incubating, validating, and launching 0-to-1 AI products from scratch.
  • Excellent product judgment and domain expertise across Google Play consumer surfaces, gaming, and developer ecosystems.
  • Excellent executive communication skills to influence cross-functional leaders and align strategic road-maps.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

AI Innovation and Research Accelerator (AIRX) is a part of AIR, a standalone team within Platforms and Devices (P&D), that is known for building cutting-edge AI product experiences and getting them to billions of users.

You will build the next generation of user experiences across P&D by building on frontier AI model and partnering directly with Google Play Product and Engineering teams to turn green-field research into shipped impact for developers and users.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 0-to-1 AI Product Incubation: Drive rapid prototyping and user-centric validation to test UX feasibility and establish product-market fit for novel consumer and developer surfaces across Google Play.
  • Bridge Frontier AI Research and Product Execution: Serve as the core liaison between AIR, Google DeepMind, and Google Play leadership to translate cutting-edge foundation models and agentic workflows into production-ready features.
  • Accelerate Ecosystem AI Integrations: Identify and deliver high-impact AI opportunities across key Play pillars, including the core Play Store experience, gaming, business generation, and developer tooling. 
  • Lead Strategic Product Roadmaps: Define the goal and drive end-to-end execution for emerging initiatives such as AI-powered game development, automated store merchandising, and next-generation discovery.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment and Delivery: Manage multiple parallel workstreams, align stakeholder consensus across organizational boundaries, and lead initiatives from initial concept through to landing.
