Strategy and Operations Manager, GCS Chief of Staff

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.
  • Experience working with sales teams, in digital marketing and cross-cultural engagement across Asian markets.
  • Demonstrated executive presence with proven influencing skills, including ability to simplify complex, ambiguous topics into compelling narratives for executive-level audiences across written/verbal, and presentation formats.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving multiple complex projects while leading cross-functional teams.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

Within GCS, the Revenue Strategy & Operations (RSO) team delivers crucial business insights, ensures cross-functional alignment on goals and execution, and drives strategic initiatives, bridging high-level company priorities with daily operations and developing future growth opportunities. The APAC RSO team is accountable for driving the GCS business strategy and execution across six key markets (Australia, Greater China, India, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia).

A core component of this regional team, the Chief of Staff Team within APAC RSO, focuses on managing the key business cadence, communications, and strategic initiatives specifically for the GCS APAC Vice President.

As a Strategy & Operations Manager, you will be integral to the APAC GCS Chief of Staff team within APAC RSO. Your primary responsibilities include supporting the Chief of Staff by managing the business cadence and executive communications for the GCS APAC Vice President. Furthermore, you will lead and project manage a variety of strategic initiatives essential for Google's future business growth in Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities

  • Craft narratives for diverse audiences on behalf of the VP, ensure consistent messaging, and manage execution across key channels (e.g., town halls, leadership meetings, offsites).
  • Manage the rhythm of the GCS APAC business, including structuring the executive team's agenda, overseeing OKR setting and tracking, coordinating Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and driving alignment on business priorities.
  • Prepare the GCS APAC VP and leadership team for key meetings by developing strategic briefings and consolidating cross-functional inputs.
  • Build and leverage a network across sales teams to systematically capture, synthesize, and report seller and customer feedback, highlighting opportunities and challenges.
  • Lead the planning and execution of APAC-wide programs aimed at supporting sellers and managers (e.g. GoogleGeist).
