About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will lead technical programs for the Forward Deployed Engineering organization, owning the operating cadence that turns executive priorities into structured, measurable execution. The portfolio is deliberately broad and will evolve with the business: driving proactive management of our highest-risk enterprise engagements, standing up early access and product feedback programs for new models and capabilities, scaling delivery best practices across regions, and incubating whatever the organization needs next. What these programs share is a common shape: high ambiguity, high visibility, several organizations that must move together, and no single team with the authority to alignment.

You will work within a team with high visibility at Google, with daily exposure to the accounts and decisions that matter most to the business. You'll engage with various stakeholders: Engineering, Product, field sales, account teams, and customer technical leadership, bridging the gap between customer expectations and engineering capacity. The position offers significant exposure to the business at an executive level and requires the credibility to hold executive stakeholders to their commitments. It's an exciting time to join Google Cloud’s Go-To-Market team, leading the AI revolution for businesses worldwide. You’ll excel by leveraging Google's brand credibility—a legacy built on inventing foundational technologies and proven at scale. We’ll provide you with the world's most advanced AI portfolio, including frontier Gemini models, and the complete Vertex AI platform, helping you to solve business problems. We’re a collaborative culture providing direct access to DeepMind's engineering and research minds, empowering you to solve customer challenges. Join us to be the catalyst for our mission, drive customer success, and define the new cloud era—the market is yours. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Manage programs with deep technical and product understanding, applying program management to complex AI contexts. Leverage technical knowledge to identify efficiencies and provide thought leadership.
  • Provide clear project status updates to audiences, including cross-functional partners and leadership. Partner with engineering and product management to define workstreams, resource plans, and project milestones.
  • Surface deteriorating accounts early with a diagnosis and a proposed path to green, before they require intervention from Cloud leadership. Build the cadence so it scales as the high-touch account portfolio grows, incubating process improvements that reduce reactive escalation over time.
  • Establish and enforce cross-functional standards for how customer-blocking issues are filed, triaged, deduplicated, and tracked to closure across engineering and field teams.
  • Shape briefing materials for executive customer meetings and drive follow-through on the commitments made in them.
