Program Manager, Data Center Services

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management or operations management within data centers, construction, process improvement and systems management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of managing complex organizational boundaries and driving alignment across stakeholder groups.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the comprehensive documentation and structural alignment of the Data Center Services (DCS) integrated operational model to enable teams to adapt and scale to evolving demands.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of the proprietary tools to optimise operations through enhanced digital visibility.
  • Drive high-level programmatic governance and a collaborative culture across EMEA framework vendors.
  • Lead program to enhance execution predictability and procurement speed by coordinating standardised core Scope of Work (SOW) deliverable templates.
  • Establish streamlined processes to eliminate contractual and training gaps while converting historical challenges into future operational standards.
