Senior Product Manager, AI Garage

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or a business related field.
  • Experience in designing AI interfaces that handle latency and failures gracefully, with preferred experience in HR product management.
  • Ability to design quantitative frameworks that track real-time model performance, grounding accuracy, system degradation, and hallucination rates.
  • Ability to lead complex, ambiguous technical initiatives and aligning high-profile, cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
  • Deep technical fluency in generative AI mechanics.

The People Operations (POps) Engineering team within Core at Google is dedicated to building innovative and scalable technology solutions that empower Google's global workforce. We leverage the power of data and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) to optimize Human Resource (HR) processes, enhance employee experiences, and drive organizational efficiency.

In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping, defining, and delivering AI-powered agentic products that will transform how our HR function operates and enhances the employee experience.At Corp Eng, we build world-leading business solutions that scale a more helpful Google for everyone. Responsibilities

  • Define the multi-year AI-native product goal and technical strategy, mapping rapidly evolving foundational models to consumer breakthroughs that achieve sustainable product-market fit.
  • Write comprehensive Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) accounting for non-deterministic software behavior, establishing explicit guidelines for system instructions, fine-tuning, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) ingestion pipelines, and safety classifiers.
  • Partner with Google researchers and infrastructure engineers to co-design model requirements, optimizing latency, context windows, compute budgets, and token utilization.
  • Pioneer innovative frameworks for multi-agent execution, asynchronous system tracking, and human-in-the-loop validation to deliver contextual, ambient, and non-chatbot intelligence.
  • Implement robust Large Language Models (LLM) evaluation systems tracking factual alignment while leading cross-functional alignment with Trust, Safety, Legal, and global Policy teams.
