Social Marketing Manager, YouTube Marketing

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in marketing leading high profile social and influencer campaigns for Gen Z brands.
  • Experience partnering with Go-To-Market leads and Product Marketing Managers across matrixed global organizations, and management of external agencies.
  • Experience identifying and analyzing relevant data to inform decision making and tailor storytelling to internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with various stakeholders and teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience leveraging AI to accelerate insights, strategy, or operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the YouTube ecosystem, creators, and culture.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed global organization.
  • Ability to multi-task with a focus on seeing tasks through to completion, with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both internally and with outside partners.

We’re also responsible for all of YouTube’s marketing activities to consumers, creators, and key opinion influencers.

In this role, you will drive significant impact in support of key objectives by understanding our audience's behaviors and culture, leveraging insights, and partnering with collaborators like GTM leads and social agencies, to develop campaign platforms and concepts, achieving buy-in from internal stakeholders, and executing on time and on budget. You will play a crucial role in guiding and collaborating with our regional and local partners, you'll scale global campaigns.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, ideation and production of social and influencer campaigns in partnership with creative agencies, creators, and industry partners.
  • Provide thought leadership for cross-functional partners in overall marketing strategy for priority product areas. Partner with regional and local teams to identify opportunities to scale strategies and campaigns globally, and support those teams in doing so.
  • Partner with analysts to track the performance of campaigns, develop strategic recommendations to optimize in real time, apply learnings to future campaigns, and report on their impact.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans and mitigations to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget. Ensure the legal and regulatory compliance of all campaign work, from licensing and usage to FTC disclosures.
  • Manage internal stakeholders, from senior executive approval of campaigns, to status reporting for GTM partners.
