Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 15 years of experience in GRC and ERM frameworks, operating models, technology eco-systems and best practices spanning horizon scanning, legislative and regulatory decomposition, prioritization, compliance design and operations, control design and implementation, assurance and testing, and regulatory inquiries and audits.
  • 10 years of leadership experience building, leading, and operating GRC, risk, or compliance technology enablement teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with corporate GRC platforms (e.g., ServiceNow GRC, Archer, etc.) and their use cases in regulatory change management, assurance, audit, risk management, and compliance operations.
  • Experience with AI-enabling infrastructure: Google Cloud, AI and ML platforms (e.g.,Vertex AI), Gemini Enterprise, Spanner, web services, data modeling, management, and knowledge graphs.
  • Ability to convey complex regulatory, compliance, and risk topics, including progress of compliance design and remediation efforts, statuses of issues, etc. to varied audiences (e.g., executive leadership, technical teams, audit, etc.).
  • Excellent stakeholder management acumen, with the ability to influence senior leaders while navigating issue resolution.

GA operates at the forefront of many of Google's issues and includes the organizations that are responsible for the company’s public policy, legal, trust and safety, compliance, and charitable functions. This team drives key cross-functional initiatives and priorities across GA and Google.

As the Director of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Solutions Enablement, you will lead the strategic discipline of identifying, deploying, and supporting integrated GRC solutions. Reporting directly to Senior Director of Solutions Enablement and Business Intelligence, you will be responsible for scaling value-driven methodologies across the organization and ensuring that technical implementations align with legal and regulatory requirements and business goals.

In this role, you will lead a high-performing organization of enablement squads that perform the technical program management, design and delivery of end-to-end GRC solutions, bridging the gap between complex digital transformations and sustainable run-state outcomes.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $275000 - $382000 (USD) + 30% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Co-define the GRC strategy and outcomes with GA leadership across Regulatory Affairs, Legal and Risk, Compliance, and Integrity.
  • Set the AI-first GRC technology outlook and strategic roadmap with Technical Risk Management (TRM) Product and Engineering teams and secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Lead GRC tech-enablement through all phases of implementation with TRM, owning  the requirements and detailed design completion for template objects and ensuring blueprint engagement and traceability.
  • Oversee a cohesive portfolio of interoperable GRC technology focused on legal and regulatory compliance and risk management to support GA and Google’s products and services.
  • Act as key thought partner to senior executives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
