Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience with Backend, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI Agent.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Practical experience integrating Large Language Model (LLMs) (e.g., Gemini API, OpenAI) into production pipelines.

Google Health is seeking a versatile Fullstack Engineer to join the Fitness Coaching team. In this team, you will bridge the gap between robust backend services, fluid mobile frontends, and state-of-the-art AI systems. You will play a key role in building intelligent features that actively guide users toward healthier lifestyles. As this is a highly collaborative, fast-paced role perfect for an engineer who loves experimenting, learning on the fly, and shipping rapid iterations.The Health Platforms and Devices team builds innovative products and services that help our users live longer, healthier lives. We bring together the best of Google technologies and AI, health behavior science, and user-centered design to help users organize the health and wellness data, get insight from it, and take action toward their health goals. We do this with a suite of apps, services, and health wearables. We aim to make consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute fluidly across Backend, Mobile and the "Intel" codebase to ship features end-to-end within a self-contained workstream.
  • Productionize research-led Intelligence features, ensuring they are scalable, stable, and ready for real-world user interaction.
  • Engage in fast-paced hill-climbing experiments and time-bound explorations with internal and external users.
  • Partner closely with a dedicated Product Manager (PM), UX Designer, and Intelligence Engineer to drive features from concept to release with minimal coordination overhead.
  • Maintain a healthy balance of work, dedicating 25% of your capacity to bug fixing and quality hill-climbing, and 25% to tech debt and quality infrastructure.
