Product Manager II, Google Cloud, Media CDN

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience in product management, including building Content Delivery Network (CDN), SaaS, or Edge Computing products.
  • 2 years of experience with Networking, Network Architecture, Networking Protocols, Software Architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in modern streaming (HLS/DASH) and edge compute plugins to optimize performance and security.
  • Experience with edge computing platforms (e.g., Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Compute@Edge, cloud computing platform CloudFront Functions) to execute custom logic closer to end users.
  • Proficiency in monitoring CDN metrics (TTFB, cache fill) and implementing WAF/DDoS protection.
  • Understanding of AI-driven lifecycles, from real-time inference to delivery of generated assets.
  • Ability to manage high-throughput media ingestion and automated AI classification pipelines.
  • Fluency with Edge Compute Infrastructure (network, compute and storage) and Content Delivery Network (CDN) in delivering AI Generated Content and Agentic transaction.

In this role, you will be a part of the Technical Infrastructure team, the backbone behind everything users see online, from developing and maintaining data centers to building the next-generation of Google platforms, the team makes Google's product portfolio possible. You will be proud to be engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. You will keep the networks up and running, ensuring users have the best and fastest experience possible.

You will deliver planet-scale Media CDN, for accelerating AI generated GenMedia in addition to VOD and Streaming workload adoption in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be influencing and driving product strategy in charting Google's leadership in this fast emerging market.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to influence and drive the long-term strategic goal for the Content Delivery of AI generated GenMedia in addition to Video on Demand (VOD) and Streaming workloads.
  • Collaborate with a team of Product Managers, Engineers and cross-functional team to identify use cases grounded by customer voice with monetization models, to drive differentiation and land innovations.
  • Own the business outcomes and strategic monetization models for the portfolio.
  • Shape Google's stance within the broader AI and developer ecosystem for GenMedia.
  • Engage with global Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships leadership to define category-creating GTM motions, capture significant market share, and drive revenue outcomes.
