From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

As a Staff UX Designer on the YouTube Partner Program, you will lead the design strategy and product architecture that powers the global creator economy. You will shape how millions of creators, from rising Shorts creators to established independent studios, turn their passions into sustainable livelihoods. In this role, you will pioneer an AI-first approach to business generation across YouTube Studio, moving beyond static dashboards to build intelligent, assistive experiences that demystify complex financial streams and provide proactive business guidance. You will partner with product, engineering, data science, and research leadership to transform ambitious business goals into intuitive, high-craft experiences grounded in creator trust and agency. In this role, you will be an experienced systems thinker who grows in ambiguity, loves managing complex financial workflows, and define how intelligent tooling empowers human creativity at global scale.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $188000 - $274000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design strategy and information architecture for core business generation surfaces across YouTube Studio, defining how millions of creators interact with and manage their business every day.
  • Pioneer intelligent, AI-first workflows that go beyond static dashboards to translate various sets of earning features into clear, proactive, and actionable guidance.
  • Drive product strategy and cut through ambiguity in close partnership with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, and UX Research leadership to solve system challenges.
  • Architect scalable design frameworks that maintain coherence, reliability, and usability across global creator surfaces while establishing multi-quarter North Star directions.
  • Elevate craft and team capabilities by setting high standards for usability and execution, while actively mentoring and developing designers across the organization.
