Program Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, Occupational Health, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Program Manager-related occupation.
  • Position requires 2 years of experience in the following: Program or project management, including tracking and managing relevant Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) operational metrics; EHS management systems, including dealing with state, county or federal regulators; EHS compliance with environmental programs; Managing safety programs, including incident investigation with necessary follow up, conducting risk assessments, contractor management training, and emergency response; and Working with stakeholders, partners, and all employees in the implementation of EHS programs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000 - $190,000 + 15% bonus bonus target + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) programs, which may extend beyond the immediate team, driving impactful operational and technical improvements.
  • Anticipate issues, propose solutions, and identify needs to develop or improve EHS Ops tools/processes. Evaluate incident data and track corrective actions.
  • Evaluate EHS impact during data center design reviews, equipment, and process changes. Perform EHS risk evaluations and define process controls for new processes.
  • Ensure comprehensive Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) compliance, manage permits/KPIs. Provide site ownership and drive EHS turn-up of new locations with little supervision, demonstrating complete campus EHS ownership. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, managing dependencies. 
  • Own site-based EHS decision-making and serve as a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME)  in multiple EHS verticals. Domestic travel more than 10% of the time required.
