Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing, or product roles.
- Experience working with digital organizations.
- Experience identifying solutions to help customer strategy, and working with senior leadership.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing performance-based marketing campaigns and optimizing for specific business KPIs (e.g., ROAS, CPA, Profitability).
- Experience working across Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to achieve unified strategic goals.
- Ability to analyze large datasets for compelling storytelling alongside advanced knowledge of Google Ads, merchant center, and AI-powered bidding.
- Deep retail industry expertise with the ability to look beyond immediate metrics to optimize the entire consumer buying experience.
- Client-facing track record of managing senior stakeholders, driving competitive sales conversations, and influencing complex decision-making.

As a Performance Specialist for Retail, you will architect Search growth for our largest retail partners. Moving beyond product silos, you will manage the total "Search buying experience" by integrating Search/Text ads with visual Shopping and Inventory-led solutions.
You will lead retail into the age of Agentic Commerce, leveraging Google’s AI products to solve business challenges and deliver outsized revenue growth. Serving as a strategic consultant, you will help partners navigate complex auction dynamics and seasonal peaks. From initial discovery to final conversion, you will identify untapped opportunities across the Search platform, ensuring partners capture the full value of every consumer journey.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $124000 - $181000 (USD) + 60% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Lead holistic performance strategies unifying Search and Shopping to maximize account growth, efficiency, and data-driven retailer ROI.
- Drive adoption of omni-channel solutions, merchant center optimizations, and advanced bidding strategies tailored for high-volume retailers.
- Act as a trusted advisor to account teams and clients, translating complex data into actionable business insights and roadmaps.
- Partner with product and engineering to influence future tools while orchestrating large-scale implementations for complex Search setups.
- Be able to challenger-sell in competitive environments by leading with Google's "best AI for the best ROI" performance vision.
