Industry Manager, Retail

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of industry experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, business development, or digital marketing, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in digital marketing and ad sales.
  • Experience working with advertisers, agencies, or clients.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with brands and digital organizations or retail organization.
  • Experience identifying and recommending scalable solutions to improve customer strategy, sales operations and working with executive leadership.
  • Experience building trusted-advisor relationships with C-level executives, and managing multiple projects, business leads, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with Google Ad Solutions, expertise in video advertising (AI-powered Performance and Video, CTV) and understanding of competitor landscape across traditional and digital media advertising.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving business growth or achieving ambitious sales goals within a large-scale business.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and influence decision-makers at the C-suite and executive level, building trusted partnerships to diagnose core business issues and align Google’s priorities with client goals.
  • Own the growth trajectory for a major retail portfolio. Lead the development of Joint Business Plans (JBPs) that establish shared accountability and drive transformative business results through the adoption of Google’s AI-powered solutions.
  • Design and pitch data-driven strategies that bridge the gap between digital performance and physical store outcomes.
  • Act as the primary facilitator for complex internal and external work groups. Lead cross-functional teams to collaborate on high-impact projects, ensuring consistent execution and high-quality service across the organization.
  • Demonstrate value by quantifying marketing impact against customer objectives. Deliver forward-thinking, data-backed insights that shape client strategies, measure ROI, and reinforce long-term partnership value.
